Miyawaki plantation in 1 km stretch along the landmark riverfront in Ahmedabad with >65,000 trees in a single patch

Miyawaki plantation at Sabarmati riverfront was done by Sabarmati River Front Development Corporation Ltd. (SRFDCL) through tendering process. Acacia Eco acted as a technical consultant to tender contractor; roles included site assessment, plantation design, procurement of material/ quality check of material procured, supervision of soil enhancement as per soil analysis, selection of plant species and planting and regular monitoring post execution.

Adaptation of Miyawaki plantation at Dholera with extremely high soil and water salinity conditions.

High soil and water salinity in Dholera has led to high plant mortality. Acacia Eco conducted a research-based execution pilot to understand existing site conditions and address deficit through soil enhancements, mixed tree plantations, and regular maintenance. Success of several parameters are being tested including success ratios by species of trees planted, height of saplings planted, season of plantation and results of different soil enhancement approaches

Miyawaki plantation in 300 m stretch along the national highway, which was previously an unofficial waste dumping site

Acacia Eco collaborated with Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation to convert an unofficial waste dumping site into a forest. Acacia Eco has executed this end to end; role included removal of top soil due to presence of toxic chemicals, supervision of soil replacement and new soil enhancement, procurement of all material and plants, execution of plantation and regular monitoring to ensure regular watering and weeding.

Phase wise development of community space was taken up including boundary plantation and forest trails

Phase wise development was done to convert an almost barren land into a green campus. Plantations done included - Boundary plantation using Miyawaki method; Forest walk using Miyawaki plantation; Fruit orchards and flowering tree areas using individual tree plantation approach. Acacia Eco has executed this end to end; role included end to end execution of all plantation including Miyawaki plantation, training to maintenance team on site and regular monitoring of growth.
